Getting Stronger

So, it’s the middle of my second week working out consistently, and I already feel stronger. Today consisted of cardio, Pilates (using Blogilates videos), and stretching, and I really enjoyed it! I feel so much better. My core is stronger already, and it has only been a little over a week!

Let’s face it…I have a long way to go. To recap…I’ve barely worked out in about three years, and I have had two kids in under two years via C-section. That pretty much equals a weak core. I guess that’s why I’m so excited about feeling stronger. There’s a sense of accomplishment in it, and I am excited to keep going!

I understand that Pilates is not for everyone. It really requires you to focus on your form. I definitely struggle with it, but the challenge motivates me to keep going. It also gives me a sense of peace. My life is chaos from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed. I love it, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. However, because of the chaos, peace is rare. Being able to focus fully on the Pilates movements helps to clear my mind, and it keeps me going without losing my mind.

The one thing I have really learned in the past week or so is that if you like it, you’ll keep doing it. That’s really all that matters! I like doing Blogilates, with other workouts here and there, so I’m excited to see where it leads me. Hopefully, to a rockin’ body, but we’ll see…

Workout Tip: Find what works for you, and stick with it! If you like it, you’ll do it. Explore your workout options, and when you find an option that works, do it!
